Quality Assurance

We want you to buy our goods with complete confidence. We take great pride in the quality of our goods but if you are not completely satisfied with the meat you receive, please contact us, sending photographs, to explain what has gone wrong and we will endeavour to replace, refund or give credit for any defective goods (according to your wishes). You also have statutory rights to return certain types of goods, set out in our terms and conditions.

Please note that because small game is usually shot with a shotgun it is likely to have some blemishes, pellet holes and/or bruises. Our quality control process means that we filter out any birds with more than three pellet holes or 10% bruising on the breast meat. If you notice more bruising or pellet holes on your products, please do contact us attaching a photo so we can review accordingly.

This quality control process does not apply to items sold in fur or in feather. All the birds and animals that we provide have been carefully selected so that the fur and feathers are as unblemished as possible following culling. However it is impossible to judge the condition of the meat with the fur and feather remaining which means that the meat could be damaged more significantly than if had been processed and graded and sold oven ready. Customers selecting the in fur/feather for processing and eating themselves are warned that the meat quality control process is limited with in fur and feather options.

The vast majority will have been shot so there will be traces of blood on the plumage of a bird or on the fur of an animal but in all other respects the items chosen should appear in good condition. It will be untouched from death and will thus have its head, feet and body intact.
