Grass-Fed Beef

Our grass-fed beef comes the Styles family, whose small family farm has remained unchanged since the second World War. With lots of small fields, split into a patchwork of grassland, arable and woodland, the farm is a wildlife oasis in the middle of Norfolk.

Manor Farm Shelton is a traditional run family farm, producing beef from a pedigree herd of Limousin cows which are crossed with Hereford and Angus bulls to produce easy calving animals and great tasting succulent beef.  Calves stay with their mothers on grass for eight to ten months. In November the calves are weaned and brought indoors into strawed yards and fed a diet of silage complemented with rolled Oats, Barley, and beans. All the silage, cereals and beans fed to the cattle are grown on the farm. The finished cattle are sent to a local abattoir at around 18 months.

We mature the beef in our cold store for a minimum of three weeks which allows the meat to rest and tenderise before being butchered by one of our team.

We are only offering the most popular beef cuts now but plan to expand our range next year. We do also when we cannot buy from the Styles herd buy from the local cutting plant Bramfield Meats.
