Truly Traceable’s artisan range of venison and game pies and sausage rolls are handmade by husband and wife team Lynn and Steve Tricker of Halesworth, Suffolk.
All the venison in Truly Traceable’s pastries is shot by Steve in Suffolk as part of his deer management work – species include muntjac, Chinese water deer, roe deer, fallow deer and red deer. Steve also shoots the other game they use and keeps full details to identify which animal has been used in which products – hence the name Truly Traceable! Any non-game free-range meats or ingredients are also fully traceable from local producers.
Their pies and sausage rolls are handmade in small batches by Lynn, who has worked in catering all her life. Lynn’s culinary skills and the unbeatable quality of their ingredients has been rewarded with great success at the Great Taste Awards, Suffolk Food and Drink Awards, Eat Game Awards, Countryside Alliance Awards and British Pie Awards.
