Woodcock

In Robert our co-founder's view, this is the most exquisite tasting meat there is. As we don't have grouse in Suffolk, the second best game meat of all time, we compensate by being able to offer lots of woodcock. We are in a good spot for the woodcock arriving to our shores from the continent and lots of these small, nocturnal birds pass through Suffolk in November, December and January on their way westwards through the rest of England and Ireland.

There is a strong demand for woodcock on the continent and the vast majority are exported to the connoisseurs in France, Belgium and Italy, who effectively set the price, which makes woodcock relatively expensive, but we think it's worth it!

Come on -  treat yourself to best and deprive a man with a beret!
