Green head, copper breast, barred tail feathers and, in many birds, a bold white collar: it is comfortably the most popular in-feather specimen we sell. Hens are more muted, a warm brown, but still useful for taxidermy and wildlife art. All our pheasants are supplied whole and unprocessed, with plumage checked for condition before dispatch. Birds supplied outside the October to February season will have been previously frozen.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePheasant in feather is widely used by Scout leaders, Cub groups and schools running bushcraft programmes. The generous tail makes a visual impression, and the bird is a practical size for handling. For taxidermy, photography and film work, a well-marked cock pheasant remains one of the most requested game bird specimens in the country.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note: as this bird has not been processed by our butchery, we are unable to undertake our usual quality control checks on the meat. It will arrive with traces of blood on the plumage.
