We hope that you and your family are keeping well in these worrying and uncertain times. We are conscious that concerns about a future government lockdown has led to some stockpiling of food but we are happy to advise that we are equipped to cope with the increased demand for our products. However, to ensure as many customers as possible can continue to order our wild and free-range meat in the months ahead, we have introduced a £120 maximum order value.

We would also like to reassure you that the Wild Meat Company and its staff follow strict hygiene rules at all times, including all recommendations from Public Health England and the government regarding COVID-19 as they are updated. Our office staff are working from home, where they are able to continue to provide the very best service to you, and our butchery and packing team are following all advised precautions to safeguard each other’s health.

Receiving deliveries

Our orders are delivered by either Parcelforce or DHL using a signed-for service. Both couriers have introduced new processes for consumers who are self-isolating or wish to minimise physical contact. Hand-held devices used to capture electronic signatures will not be handed to customers and instead the driver will log the details on your behalf when your items are delivered. 

When you place your order we will provide a tracking code so you will be able to identify which courier your order will be delivered by. You can then review the latest information via the following links

If you are unable to answer the door or would prefer the parcel to be left in a safe place without proof of delivery being obtained, please use the special instructions box on the checkout page to state this and provide instructions about where you would like our couriers to leave your parcel.

A number of our local customers usually collect orders from our site but unfortunately this will no longer be possible for the foreseeable future.

Home freezing

We have received a number of queries about whether our game products can be stored in the freezer, and we would like to reassure you that all our meat products can be safely frozen at home. We can also dispatch items to you frozen if preferred – just add a note in the special instructions box at checkout. Please note, some slight thawing may possibly occur on the outside of products however this is nothing to be concerned about and items can be safely placed straight in your freezer.
